I have been informed by Norma’s family that her funeral will be on Friday 14 November at 1pm at Banbury Crematorium.The wake will be at Syresham Sports Club.
All are welcome and asked to wear bright colours

The 10th Anniversary of the Brackley & District U3a was celebrated on 16 October 2025
7 of the original Committee attended and cut a cake which was shared by all 95 attendees at the meeting

Advance warning the annual XMAS LUNCH will be held on WEDNESDAY DECEMBER THE 10th. It will be held as before at Silverstone Golf Club. Full details including menus payment details etc will be sent out at the beginning of October.

Our 'Singing for Fun' group gave a concert at the Methodist church on 2nd July. (Posted 22/07/2025)
Our 'Singing for Fun' group gave a concert at the Methodist church on 2nd July. The programme was 'Songs of the people' and included spiritual songs, sea shanties, songs of protest and worship. We also had a tribute to Ian Nixon, a long time member of our choir, and sang his favourite song, '76 Trombones'! We were pleased to see so many people from u3a; we also invited family and friends and had an audience of nearly 50. In Ian's memory we collected £134.70 for Cancer Research and for Katherine House Hospice £152.03. Thank you to everyone for your support.

If anyone is interested in playing Short Mat Bowls, we have the opportunity to join Syresham Bowls club when they play on Thursday afternoons (2-4pm) at Syresham Village Hall. Cost is £2 per week.
